The ARC Turbine is the first airborne boss in ARC Raiders — a massive cone-shaped aerial machine that dominates the skies over Riven Tides. It drifts unpredictably across the coastline while airborne, nearly invulnerable until it lands to deploy its turbine mechanism. Once grounded, it opens three rotating yellow canisters visible through its landing gear gaps — these are its only weak points. The Turbine drops the exclusive Turbine Compressor material needed for top-tier crafting. Introduced in the Riven Tides update (Patch 1.26.0).
The ARC Turbine spawns by falling from the sky at the 16-12 minute mark and patrols the Riven Tides map aerially. While airborne it is heavily armoured and resistant to all damage — focus on other threats until it lands. When it descends, three spinning yellow canisters become visible through the gap in its landing legs: these are the critical weak points. Landing triggers two attack patterns: cluster missile salvos that initiate lightning strikes on impact (stunning and dealing heavy damage), and a mine-deployment ability that scatters proximity mines directly beneath it. Defeat it before it lifts off again to maximize loot.
The ARC Turbine is a boss-class ARC machine with 4,000 HP and a danger rating of 9/5. As a boss-tier enemy, the ARC Turbine hits hard, soaks damage, and turns most solo runs into a coffin if you engage without preparation. Group up, bring high-DPS weapons, and only fight it when the loot table is worth the noise — every shot is a beacon for nearby Raiders.
The ARC Turbine has 1 weak point: Spinning yellow canisters (visible through landing gear gap when grounded) (2x). Hitting the spinning yellow canisters (visible through landing gear gap when grounded) is the highest-value target — every shot landing there does 2x damage compared to body shots, which means you can drop the ARC Turbine with roughly 40 well-placed precision rounds from a mid-tier rifle. Body shots will work, but you'll burn through three to four times the ammo and pull every ARC patrol within a few hundred metres.
You'll find the ARC Turbine spawning in Riven Tides. Common drops include Turbine Compressor, ARC Alloy, ARC Motion Core, Advanced ARC Powercell and 4 other crafting components, which makes it a priority target for Raiders running crafting routes for the Workshop tech tree — the rare components from this enemy fast-track several mid-game upgrades.
