Terms of Service

By accessing or using RATWATCH.GG ("the Service", "the Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the operators of RATWATCH.GG.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use this Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

RATWATCH.GG is a community-driven platform for ARC Raiders players to report, track, and discuss in-game player behavior through a bounty and trial system. All activities on this platform relate exclusively to behavior within the video game ARC Raiders and have no connection to real-world conduct.

The "bounties," "trials," "verdicts," "kills," "hunters," and similar terminology used on this platform are fictional game-themed concepts for entertainment purposes only. They do not represent, encourage, or endorse any real-world actions, violence, threats, or vigilante behavior of any kind.

RATWATCH.GG is an independent, fan-made community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Embark Studios AB, ARC Raiders, or any of their parent companies, subsidiaries, or affiliates.

"ARC Raiders" and all related names, logos, images, and trademarks are the property of Embark Studios AB. Any use of game-related terminology on this platform is purely for community reference purposes and does not imply any official relationship or endorsement.

This platform is built and maintained by fans of the game and operates independently with no commercial relationship to the game's developers or publishers. If Embark Studios AB or any rights holder objects to this platform, we will comply promptly with any takedown requests.

You must authenticate via Discord or Google to use certain features. By logging in, you grant us access to your public profile information (username and avatar) from your chosen authentication provider.

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share your session credentials or attempt to access other users' accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice.

We do not store your authentication passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by third-party OAuth providers (Discord, Google).

You agree NOT to use this platform to:

• Threaten, harass, stalk, or intimidate any person in real life
• Dox or expose personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses, workplaces, schools, or any other personally identifiable information)
• Issue real-world threats of violence, harm, or any illegal activity against any person
• Incite violence, self-harm, or harassment against any individual, whether a player or not
• Post hate speech, slurs, or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic
• Engage in cyberbullying or coordinated harassment campaigns targeting specific individuals
• Post false, fabricated, or misleading bounties against other players
• Manipulate votes, trials, or reputation scores through bots, alt accounts, or vote brigading
• Upload illegal, obscene, sexually explicit, or harmful content as evidence
• Upload content depicting real-world violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
• Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Service
• Attempt to exploit, hack, or gain unauthorized access to the system
• Impersonate other players, moderators, administrators, or any real person
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose, advertising, or spam
• Circumvent any bans, suspensions, or restrictions placed on your account

ZERO TOLERANCE: Any real-world threats of violence, doxxing, or content that endangers any person's safety will result in immediate and permanent account termination. We will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities if we believe any user poses a genuine threat to the safety of any individual.

All content on RATWATCH.GG must relate exclusively to in-game behavior within ARC Raiders. This includes:

• Bounties must reference in-game actions only (extract camping, betrayal, griefing, etc.)
• Evidence must be screenshots or recordings of in-game activity only
• Trial proceedings must concern in-game conduct only
• Reputation reports must be based on in-game interactions only

Users must never post content about a player's real-world identity, personal life, physical appearance, or any information that exists outside the game. Violations will result in content removal and account suspension.

All bounties, evidence, trial statements, and reports you submit are public and visible to all users. You retain ownership of your content but grant RATWATCH.GG a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute it on the platform.

Evidence must be from legitimate sources (YouTube, Twitch, Imgur, Medal). We reserve the right to remove any content at our sole discretion, for any reason, with or without notice.

You are solely responsible for all content you post. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate any third party's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.

The trial system is a community entertainment feature. Verdicts are decided by player votes and do not represent legal judgments, official game rulings, or any form of real-world adjudication. All users are expected to act in good faith when participating.

Jury manipulation, vote brigading, or coordinated attacks against specific players will result in account suspension.

A "guilty" verdict on RATWATCH.GG carries no real-world consequences and does not constitute a finding of fact by any authority. It is solely a community opinion for entertainment within the ARC Raiders community.

Infamy, Trust, and Credibility scores are calculated based on community activity and votes. These scores are for entertainment purposes within the ARC Raiders community only and have no real-world implications, monetary value, or legal standing.

Rankings, leaderboards, and hunter titles (Rookie, Tracker, Enforcer, Executioner, Legend) are game-themed fictional designations and do not represent real-world status, authority, or capability.

Moderators may remove content, suspend accounts, or take other actions to maintain community standards. Moderation decisions are made at our sole discretion and are final.

We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor user content. We are not responsible for reviewing all content posted to the platform in real-time. If you encounter content that violates these Terms, please report it using the built-in report feature.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms, or immediately for severe violations (threats, doxxing, illegal activity).

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on RATWATCH.GG infringes your copyright, please contact us via our Discord server with:

• A description of the copyrighted work
• The URL of the infringing content on our platform
• Your contact information
• A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized

We will respond to valid takedown requests in accordance with applicable copyright laws.

We collect and store the following information:

• Authentication data: Your Discord or Google public profile (username, avatar URL, email address)
• User-generated content: Bounties, evidence links, trial votes, reputation reports, zone reports, and kill claims you submit
• Usage data: Page views and interactions necessary for platform features (e.g., vote counts, notification preferences)

We do NOT collect:

• Payment information (the platform is free)
• Location data
• Device fingerprints or tracking cookies for advertising
• Private messages or communications outside the platform

Your data is stored on Supabase (our database provider) and Vercel (our hosting provider), both of which maintain their own privacy and security practices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us via Discord. Note that publicly posted content (bounties, trial votes) may be retained in anonymized form to maintain platform integrity.

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of user-submitted content, player reports, trial outcomes, reputation scores, or any other community-generated data.

We do not verify the accuracy of any bounty, report, or accusation posted on this platform. All content represents the subjective opinion of the user who posted it and should not be treated as factual or authoritative.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, RATWATCH.GG, its operators, contributors, moderators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Damages arising from user-generated content posted by third parties
• Emotional distress, reputational harm, or harassment resulting from platform use
• Loss of data, service interruptions, or unauthorized access to your account
• Actions taken by other users on or off the platform
• Any real-world consequences arising from in-game disputes tracked on this platform

The bounty, trial, and hunter systems are community entertainment features. No real-world monetary value, legal standing, or enforceable consequence is associated with any action taken on this platform.

In no event shall our total liability exceed $0 USD, as this is a free, non-commercial community platform.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RATWATCH.GG, its operators, moderators, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third party's rights
• Any content you submit to the platform

Any disputes arising from the use of this Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through informal negotiation via our Discord server. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, both parties agree to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against the operators of RATWATCH.GG.

We will cooperate with law enforcement authorities and comply with valid legal requests (subpoenas, court orders, etc.) to disclose user information when required by law or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:

• Protect the safety of any person
• Prevent illegal activity
• Respond to credible threats of violence or harm
• Enforce these Terms of Service

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Dispute Resolution) shall survive.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the platform.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions, which will remain in full force and effect.
