Description

Heavy stationary sniper turrets usually found on rooftops and elevated positions. Sentinels deliver devastating long-range shots that can chunk most of a player's health in a single hit. Their distinctive yellow canister on the arm is their critical weak point.

Behavior

Sentinels lock onto targets at extreme range and fire high-damage precision shots after a brief charge-up indicated by a visible laser sight. Between shots they have a lengthy cooldown where they are vulnerable. They are mounted at elevated positions and have excellent sight lines across open areas. The yellow canister on their arm glows when charging a shot.

• 1Watch for the laser sight. When you see it tracking you, break line of sight immediately. Their shots hit extremely hard.
• 2Snipe the yellow canister on their arm for triple damage. It glows brighter when they charge a shot, making it easier to spot.
• 3Sprint between cover in unpredictable patterns when crossing open areas where Sentinels have sight lines.
• 4Sentinels only spawn at Dam, Spaceport, and Stella Montis. On those maps, always check rooftops before crossing open ground.
