Rollbot

Description

Fully plated ball-shaped ARC machines that roll at high speed to crush players. Rollbots are heavily armored from all angles while in ball form, making them resistant to sustained fire. Their primary attack is simply rolling over you with tremendous force.

Behavior

Rollbots patrol in a rolling ball configuration, fully encased in heavy armor plating. When they detect a player, they accelerate rapidly and attempt to roll directly over the target. Their attacks are telegraphed by an increase in speed and a locking trajectory. Easy to dodge by stepping sideways but punishing if they connect. After a charge they slow to turn around for another pass.

• 1Dodge sideways when a Rollbot charges. They commit to a straight line and cannot turn mid-roll.
• 2Their fully plated armor makes sustained damage difficult. Use heavy weapons or explosives for best results.
• 3After they miss a charge, they slow down to turn around. That brief window is your best chance to deal damage.
• 4Do not waste light ammo on Rollbots. Their armor absorbs most of it. Switch to medium or heavy caliber.
