Rocketeer

Description

Aerial heavy weapons platform armed with a devastating rocket launcher system. Rocketeers are large flying ARC machines that hover above the battlefield and rain rockets down on player positions. Their size and altitude make them hard to miss but their HP pool demands sustained fire.

Behavior

Rocketeers hover at high altitude and fire volleys of rockets at player positions. The rockets deal massive area damage and are fired in patterns designed to flush players from cover. Between volleys they reposition, circling the engagement area. Their thrusters and the scanner on top are their vulnerable points, but hitting them requires accuracy at range.

• 1Get under solid overhead cover during rocket volleys. Splash damage from rockets is brutal in open areas.
• 2Use LMGs, battle rifles, or sniper rifles for sustained accurate fire at their altitude. SMGs lose too much damage at range.
• 3Target the thrusters on the underside when the Rocketeer hovers directly overhead. That is the highest damage window.
• 4When a Rocketeer appears, prioritize it over ground threats. Uncontested rocket fire will wipe a squad fast.
