Assault-class ARC machine (also known as Bison) that leaps extraordinary distances and releases a kinetic energy shockwave on landing. Leapers are large, powerful units that close gaps instantly with their signature leaping attack, making distance and cover much less effective against them.
Leapers track player positions and launch themselves into massive leaps covering 20-30 meters. On landing, they release a kinetic shockwave that damages and staggers all players in a wide radius. Between leaps they engage with melee strikes and ground pounds. They are relentless in pursuit and their mobility makes them one of the most aggressive large ARC types.
The Leaper is a large-class ARC machine with 3,500 HP and a danger rating of 7/5. Large ARC machines like the Leaper are mid-difficulty fights that punish overextension. They take time to drop and can stagger you while other ARC patrols converge on the gunfire — pick your moment carefully.
The Leaper has 2 weak points: Leg joints (2x), Eyeball (central optic) (3x). Hitting the leg joints is the highest-value target — every shot landing there does 2x damage compared to body shots, which means you can drop the Leaper with roughly 35 well-placed precision rounds from a mid-tier rifle. Body shots will work, but you'll burn through three to four times the ammo and pull every ARC patrol within a few hundred metres.
You'll find the Leaper spawning in Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, Blue Gate. Common drops include ARC Alloy, Advanced ARC Powercell, Mechanical Components, Leaper Pulse Unit, which makes it a priority target for Raiders running crafting routes for the Workshop tech tree — the rare components from this enemy fast-track several mid-game upgrades.
