Firefly

Description

A flying ARC drone that spews fire from above, adding aerial pressure and forcing vertical awareness. The Firefly is very aggressive and hard to shake once it locks on. It typically patrols alongside Wasps or Hornets, though it sometimes appears alone. Added in the Shrouded Sky update, it thrives during Hurricane conditions where low visibility makes its flame attacks even more dangerous.

Behavior

Fireflies patrol at medium altitude, often alongside Wasp or Hornet groups. When they detect a player, they make a whirring sound and rush toward the target. During combat, the Firefly performs continuous flamethrower runs while moving straight forward. Before using its flamethrower, you can hear it release gas as a warning. While attacking, a yellow fuel canister becomes exposed as a critical weak point.

• 1Listen for the gas release sound before the Firefly begins its flame attack. That is your cue to dodge sideways.
• 2Wait for it to deploy its flamethrower to expose the yellow fuel canister, then shoot it for a devastating explosion.
• 3Fireflies are especially dangerous during Hurricane conditions where low visibility lets them close distance before you react.
• 4They often patrol with Wasps and Hornets. Prioritize the Firefly first since its flame damage is the highest threat.
