Siege-class ARC machines that fire mortar rounds in devastating barrages. Bombardiers are tall, heavy units that rain explosives from a distance, making them extremely dangerous in open areas. Their yellow leg joints and rear canister are the key weak points that experienced players target.
Bombardiers position themselves at medium to long range and launch arcing mortar rounds at player positions. The incoming rounds are telegraphed by red impact indicators on the ground. They fire in volleys of 3-5 rounds before repositioning. They are slow-moving but their area denial capability forces players out of cover and into other threats.
The Bombardier is a large-class ARC machine with 3,000 HP and a danger rating of 7/5. Large ARC machines like the Bombardier are mid-difficulty fights that punish overextension. They take time to drop and can stagger you while other ARC patrols converge on the gunfire — pick your moment carefully.
The Bombardier has 2 weak points: Yellow leg joints (2.5x), Rear canister (yellow, on back) (3x). Hitting the yellow leg joints is the highest-value target — every shot landing there does 2.5x damage compared to body shots, which means you can drop the Bombardier with roughly 24 well-placed precision rounds from a mid-tier rifle. Body shots will work, but you'll burn through three to four times the ammo and pull every ARC patrol within a few hundred metres.
You'll find the Bombardier spawning in Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, Blue Gate. Common drops include ARC Alloy, Advanced ARC Powercell, Bombardier Cell, Launcher Ammo, which makes it a priority target for Raiders running crafting routes for the Workshop tech tree — the rare components from this enemy fast-track several mid-game upgrades.
