Siege-class 4-legged ARC tank with a massive turret mounted on top. Bastions are walking fortresses with heavy frontal armor and a powerful main cannon. They are among the most imposing non-boss enemies in the game and require focused team fire to bring down efficiently.
Bastions advance slowly but relentlessly, firing their main turret cannon at player positions. The cannon deals massive direct damage and has a small splash radius. They periodically stomp the ground to stagger nearby players. Their four armored legs carry them at a walking pace but they never stop advancing. The yellow leg joints and rear canister glow faintly, revealing the weak points.
The Bastion is a large-class ARC machine with 5,000 HP and a danger rating of 8/5. Large ARC machines like the Bastion are mid-difficulty fights that punish overextension. They take time to drop and can stagger you while other ARC patrols converge on the gunfire — pick your moment carefully.
The Bastion has 2 weak points: Yellow leg joints (4 legs) (2.5x), Rear canister (yellow, on back) (3x). Hitting the yellow leg joints (4 legs) is the highest-value target — every shot landing there does 2.5x damage compared to body shots, which means you can drop the Bastion with roughly 40 well-placed precision rounds from a mid-tier rifle. Body shots will work, but you'll burn through three to four times the ammo and pull every ARC patrol within a few hundred metres.
You'll find the Bastion spawning in Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, Stella Montis. Common drops include ARC Alloy, Advanced ARC Powercell, Bastion Cell, Medium Ammo, which makes it a priority target for Raiders running crafting routes for the Workshop tech tree — the rare components from this enemy fast-track several mid-game upgrades.
