Heavy flying ARC enemies that fire devastating projectile attacks. Shredders are bulky aerial platforms exclusive to Stella Montis. Their aggressive attack patterns and airborne mobility make them one of the most dangerous medium-tier threats in the game.
Shredders hover at varying altitudes and fire salvos of damaging projectiles at player positions. They reposition aggressively between volleys, strafing and changing altitude to avoid return fire. Their thrusters are their primary weak point but are difficult to hit due to constant movement. They are exclusively found on the Stella Montis map.
The Shredder is a medium-class ARC machine with 600 HP and a danger rating of 6/5. Medium-class ARC machines are the workhorse threat in ARC Raiders. The Shredder is dangerous in numbers and will pin you down with sustained fire, but a focused burst into the right weak point ends most engagements in seconds.
The Shredder has 1 weak point: Thrusters (rear) (2.5x). Hitting the thrusters (rear) is the highest-value target — every shot landing there does 2.5x damage compared to body shots, which means you can drop the Shredder with roughly 5 well-placed precision rounds from a mid-tier rifle. Body shots will work, but you'll burn through three to four times the ammo and pull every ARC patrol within a few hundred metres.
You'll find the Shredder spawning in Stella Montis. Common drops include ARC Alloy, ARC Powercell, Mechanical Components, Shredder Gyro, which makes it a priority target for Raiders running crafting routes for the Workshop tech tree — the rare components from this enemy fast-track several mid-game upgrades.
